Rookie Hunter Daniel Jackson Tells All

Most everybody calls me by my last name, Jackson.
I am 28 years old and this is my second year hunting. I live at the very southern tip of Illinois surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest.
I am a correctional officer in the State of Illinois and have worked 6 and half years in this profession. I’m not married and have no kids. So, my time is pretty freed up for hunting.
Some things I do in my free time when the season is out. I used to motorcycle ride but I recently sold my bike. I will probably be getting a new one in the future.

I like shooting guns and would like to get into some competitions. Shooting my bow is always on the top of my list too.
The bow I’m shoot this year is a 2016 Hoyt Carbon Defiant Turbo with a 70 lbs., 29.5-inch draw. I shoot a 330 8.5 gpi Easton blood vain with 100 grain rage double blade mechanical broad head. I’m using a single pin Trophy Ridge React sight.
The most impressive thing I’ve done so far is make a 100 target shot with the bow. Myself and the others that were there were really rather impressed to say the least. https://youtu.be/
