What do you get when you combine three fitness nuts with a passion for all things outdoors? You get Fit to Hunt! We don’t just develop exercise programs and tell you what to eat. We take a multi-faceted approach that focuses on all aspects of wellness to help you develop a personalized system that delivers results.
In the process we perform the role of persona trainer, educator, motivator, coach and friend. We can help you improve your health and wellness.
The inspiration for Fit to Hunt hinges on three very important principles: Back Country Morals, : This means we work hard, go to church, support the 2nd Amendment, treat our ladies with respect and are nowhere near what some call “politically correct.”
– Family – Fitness and most importantly, FUN! love God, family, our guns and the outdoors! And as fitness pro’s we know the importance of solid nutrition & exercise in enhancing performance.
We believe that proper nutrition and regular exercise will enhance your outdoor adventure. We make fitness fun and provide tools that produce results!
What so important about being Fit To Hunt?
What is your baseline I am in shape to hunt look, feel and measures? No matter what game you hunt you need to have stamina, flexibly, endurance, strength, to be able to hunt all day or even sit in a stand during the rut for hours at a time.
If you are not on a minimum of walking one mile a day, stretching for 30 minutes pre and post walk along with hydration of 60 oz plus of water then you are kidding yourself.
Whitetail hunting is a 365 day event so should yer fitness. If you’re turkey hunting this spring then combine your whitetail scouting right alone with that activity. The old trails show up real well in the dead grass and leaves.
I want him to grow up some more and mature
Lesson learned for 2015…Let a small buck walk that was not on my hit list…guess what he was the only buck that came within my range with a bow, harvested a doe for the freezer and am enjoying great family meals. Why did I let the buck walk he was 2.5 years old and I want him to grow up some more and mature.
you have given yourself a hunting edge
Think about leasing, buying or getting permission on additional lands now within a 60 mile radius of your home. Try to get properties that will allow you to hunt any wind or weather conditions. If you can plan it right you will always have a favorable stand to hunt and not be pressuring bucks. Think about it on your land know you have four stands that take advantage of the wind no take that x for properties and you have given yourself a hunting edge.
