We love hunting and the outdoors

We love hunting and the outdoors and all it has to offer and we believe in the traditional roots of what hunting is and stands for. I would say the 3 areas that I am passionate about with hunting the most would be family time, the general aspect of the hunt and safety.

The TreeStand Wingman is the product of our main sponsor, Black Ash Outdoor Products, and the TreeStand Wingman is a reusable fall-restraint safety system. If you fall out of your tree stand at any time, this device lowers you back down to the ground every time. It’s reusable. We’ve been to shows with them this year with it and the one device has been used over 3300 times and is still going strong.

: Unchained Outdoors, I started it just about a year ago. Growing up, I’ve loved hunting. I’ve had a passion for it. Always had childhood dreams of… Everybody says, “Oh, I always wanted to have a hunting show.” And try to pursue this. I started actually about three years ago. A friend of mine I went to high school with, we actually started something similar and we did that for a little bit. Justin McFadden Unchained Outdoors protected by the treestand wingman

I come up with “Unchained Outdoors,”

It was kinda being a hazard to our friendship a little bit. We just kinda wasn’t agreeable and stuff, and I just decided, you know… We wanted to remain friends and everything, so I decided just to breakaway and start my own journey. I was kicking around, thinking about names and stuff, and I come up with “Unchained Outdoors,” because it’s kinda like I’m on my own. I’m not in a partnership now. I’m kinda breaking away, unchained, on my own. So that’s how it started out and that’s what we’re continuing with.

I’ve got a phenomenal pro staff of guys.

I’ve got a phenomenal pro staff of guys. One pro staff I’ve known for a while is Troy Briggs. He lives in Mercer, Pennsylvania, kinda shared the same thoughts I had growing up. And whenever I started with this with my friend and then broke away to myself to unchained, he has always been there. He’s been supportive with it. He wants to take part in it, so we got him on and he’s huge help for us.

And then a couple of months ago we added a guy from Harrodsburg, Kentucky, named James Drury. James is our public relations now. He’s a great guy. He’s had experience with hunting, filming-wise and everything in the past. He’s a huge asset to us and I’m getting to go down. In about three weeks I’m gonna head down James’ way to Kentucky and do some spring gobbler hunting down there, so looking forward that for sure.

you can climb back up if you do fall. And you can reset it yourself and you can keep using it over and over again.

Well I think the biggest thing that makes them better than anything on the market is with the design of it you climb with it. You can use it with walk-on stand. You can use it to climber. If you use a lifeline system you can use it with ladder stand. It works for setting up tree stands, taking down tree stands. Like I said, you climb with it. You climb down with it. So you’re always connected and if you fall at any point, it will take you down to the ground automatically. And you can climb back up if you do fall. And you can reset it yourself and you can keep using it over and over again.

We have similar products on the market that let you down to the ground. They’re either a one-time use or you have to send them back to the manufacturer to get them redone. That’s a big part with that for sure. I mean, it’s reusable, It’s guaranteed to work. Like I said before, the trade shows we’ve been doing this year with them, got over 3300 falls on the same unit. And also, that’s also included on the same exact harness too. That’s a big factor with the design of it it doesn’t generate that force and it saves your safety equipment as well. So it’s saving your life. It’s saving you money.

So it’s saving your life. It’s saving you money. And I mean, like I said, if you’re hunting out of a tree stand, I mean, you’d be absolutely crazy not to use a TreeStand Wingman.
