Set Up….Ladder stand facing southeast.

Open pasture to the south, two drainage’s meet in the northwest corner of the filed.

On the left is a fence row with bushed and high grass.

To the right is a line of hardwoods.

The wind was coming out of the southwest.

Buck came from my left about 100 yards out in the pasture, nose to the ground.

I grunted twice then cracked my rattling antlers.

That’s all it took, he turned and slowly headed my way head up ears forward looking for the other buck. He was at 30 yds when I doubled lunged him.
