I live in Western Pennsylvania in Clarion County. I’ve been strictly bow hunting with a recurve for the last 15 years. I have progressed into chasing mature whitetails only with a stick bow. I shoot instinctive with no sights. John Shofestall Traditional hunter

Important to me are the following..

1. Pass on the hunting tradition to my family
2. It’s not all about the bone, it’s the hunt that holds the memories
3. Traditional archers set short distance as their max range
4. Venison is a wonderful meal.
5. Know how to take it from the field to the table

I shoot instinctive with no sights.

There’s just nothing like Taking a deer with a stick bow. When you put a great shot on a good deer You know it was all you. I also enjoyed the meat as much as I do the chase. John Shofestall Traditional hunter

I am passionate about processing the meat and using it.

Also, I have A 9-year-old son That has shot four deer so far in his life and enjoy the outdoors. I’m passionate about Teaching him how to Bow hunt & hunt.  John Shofestall Traditional hunter
