Hunting Revolution Welcome to another episode of Whitetail Rendezvous. This is your host, Bruce Hutcheon, and we’re gonna zip down to Florida. I believe that’s where Jeff is from, and Jeff Hajari, president of Hunting Revolution, and makers of some really innovative products for the whitetail world. Jeff, welcome to the show.

Jeff Hajari: Thank you. Thank you for having me, Bruce. Thanks.

Bruce Hutcheon: Let’s jump right into it, Jeff, and talk about Hunting Revolution.

Jeff Hajari: Well, Hunting Revolution, I started the company back in New York about six, seven years ago called Tree Apron. That was the first product that I designed in the bow hunting industry. But then I got more and more into it, and I started designing more products, and I realized that I shouldn’t have named my company based on the first product.

Then I came up with the name Hunting Revolution. Again, we have been getting involved in making some [significantly] different products that’s making headway in the industry, and I am very proud of them. So, Hunting Revolution, kind of like a catchy name, and it goes with what we do.

What was one of the first products that you brought out at the ATA Show? The first product I designed was called Tree Apron,

Bruce Hutcheon: Let’s talk about some of your products. What was one of the first products that you brought out at the ATA Show?

Jeff Hajari: The first product I designed was called Tree Apron, which is, basically… Back in the day, there wasn’t much choice when you were looking for hunting packs. Most hunting packs were like a regular backpack that they made out of [sp] camel. There were some companies making design and hunting packs… I find that, when I was hunting… I mean, I hunt on state land, most of the time, or public land. I have to carry my gear with me, everything, tree stand, and then climb up the tree and sit.

So I’m sitting in a tree, and every time I move, or if I’m standing up and I’m leaning against a tree, my clothes, my jacket, would rub up against the tree box and make a noise. I would stand all day in a tree stand without hesitating to lean against the tree, because I know it was gonna make a little… Like, a [inaudible 00:02:30] noise, and that would be enough to scare any deer in the area, or alter them, knowing that there is something here in the area.

Then I came up with the idea of making an apron to wrap around the tree with some padding, some cushioning on it, so I can lean against the tree whether I’m sitting or standing, and use it for hunting. Eventually it evolved into the product that it is. I added more pockets to it, so that I could have my gear inside. I put some hooks on it so I can hang my calls and rattler, and everything I need.

This way, when I’m standing and hunting in a tree stand, I don’t have to have anything hanging from my neck to interfere with my shooting.

Also, you can wear it like a vest. So it’s multipurpose.

This way, you wear it, you’ve got a nice, flat, padded back that you can carry your tree stand… It provides some cushioning for your back. It has elastic belt, which actually give it great back support when you walk and hike in the woods. And when you climb your tree, you don’t have to take it off. So [inaudible 00:03:43] from the side. Basically, as soon as you climb on the tree, you take it off your back and strap it on a tree, and you’re ready to hunt.

All your gear is right there. You can hang your bow from it. You can hang your equipment from it, and it can sit nice and comfortable. So if it’s a rainy day, you get in your tree stand and everything is wet. You have a nice, dry pad. You strap it around the tree and hang your equipment from it, and you lean… Again, it provides comfort.

It keeps you quiet, and it keeps you organized.

So when the opportunity comes, you need your [inaudible 00:04:18] you need your ladder. Everything is right there within your reach. Basically, it makes it much more easier and comfortable to hunt.

Once you’ve done hunting, you pack everything back in the pockets. You wear it on your back. You come [inaudible 00:04:33] and you go home. Again, it’s a nice way of keeping all your gear nice and organized in one pack.
